Switchful.com Brand Strategy, Visual Identity, and Design System
Overview
Switchful.com is Helpful's first and flagship brand. It was designed to provide world class data and research without all the sketchy stuff. That means no ads, no sponsors, and no mystical methodology.
The entire site was built on a centralized design system that would allow us to create multiple sites in a quick amount of time. The important part of the visual identity was that it had to work in every single scenario of the complex design system with no exceptions.

Our entire site was built on a component based design system that we could replicate with new visual branding if needed. The main task of the site was to get indexed on Google on the front page. To accomplish this, every decision that was made was designed to establish trust, offer a wonderful user experience, and showcase first-hand expertise. Visual Identity Creation
As Helpful's flagship site and the foundation for our design system, the visual identity needed to be simple and adaptable enough to conform to every possible application on the site. That includes all UI components, branded illustration, social images, video production, motion graphics, and data visualization. Below is the style guide that I established to make sure every aspect of the brand was cohesive.
